ABOUT RITA DAMIRÓN
Rita Damiron is a creative director, producer, and talent with extensive experience in TV/Film, content creation, and as a multicultural strategist. Her passion for travel, arts, and storytelling brought her from the indie world to business news as a founding team member of Cheddar, where she worked as a field producer.
Currently, Rita is one of the lead producers and the only Dominican creative for Leguizamo Does America starring John Leguizamo for NBC, the first show of its kind representing the Latinx community at the highest levels of broadcast television.
She has worked as a producer for Bad Bunny and Danny Yankee music videos, as well as interviews with Karol G, Anitta and Eva Longoria and produced content for Vogue, MSNBC, Univision, Telemundo, NGL Collective, Dress Code NYC, and Spanish Broadcasting System.
In the advertising world, Rita has been involved in campaigns for Fanta, Chase Bank, Stella Artois, Rémy Martin, Makers Mark, McDonalds, Marc Jacobs, Target and SOMOS Community Care.
Additionally, Rita has published research on the intersection between identity, digital media, and social networking sites and presented her work, “Afro-Latinx Online Communities: Reshaping Identity, one Post at a Time” at the prestigious International Communication Association conference in Washington, DC and Theorizing the Web in New York City.
